Visit To London

London, capital of England. A lot of attractions especially when you are at the central London. What you have to do is get yourself a Oyster Card. (3pounds for a card and top up as you like).

By having the card, you could take Double Decker Bus (1 Pound per time), or  underground or tube (price depends on distance).

There is a route for the heritage visit from where I stay- St. Paul's Cathedral to Millennium Bridge, reach the Tate Museum, walk on the south of the Thames river bank, reach the art gallery, then to the Aquarium and London Eye, cross the Westminster Bridge,  you will see the Big Ben, House of Parliament , Westminster Abbey, Horse Guard Museum, National Gallery and Trafalgar square. At this junction, you could either turn left to the Buckingham Palace, or turn right to the Aldwych. If you go to the Buckingham Palace, you should not miss the Green Park and St. James Park. If you are going towards Aldwych, there are a lot of theaters and you should go for at least a show which is really famous in London.  (But I didn't go because I am a  budget traveller which need to save $ ^.^)

From Aldwych, you could continue walking in within 10 mins, You will meet the starting point again.

Going to Suffolk

Bury St . Edmonds is a small town located in Suffolk. This town is famous as farm or green area. Living here for 1 week is what I plan when I still in Malaysia.

Leaving from London to Suffolk take around 2.5 hour with National Express coach. Cost me around 14 pounds. (Is really expensive, 14 x 6=Rm84).

On the way to Suffolk, you can see a lot of farms on both side of the highway.    Mainly are wheat farm and vege farm. You will see a big piece of yellow from the road side to the sky end. Really Beautiful.

On the way to Bury St. Edmonds, it will pass through a small town call " New Market". This town is lovely with beautiful building along the road and it really looks like a picture when you travel around.

Delay trip

I have delayed my trip because of some reasons. Swine flu is one of the reason i postponed my trip. My parent is worried and requested me to go there late. Besides, i have some unsettle work here and i need to finish it before i left. That's the reason i postponed my trip to one month later.

Feel guilty to leave my friend to go there alone early. But we still can meet at UK later. May be the time i go there, i can visit her at her work place before i start my job. We still can travel around UK together after we earn our travel expenses.

Worry to go alone? Ya, i think everybody will feel the same but i think should be OK. My friend will enter UK one month early than me and she could experience the new environment. I am now looking forward for it.

I am not regret to make such decision to go there late. I don't think i will feel regret to go alone (and leave my friend to go alone too). Sometime, we need to be independent on something. I am not worried because my friend and I are not kind of dependent person. That's why both of us have such decision to travel to an unknown country and experience the unknown culture.

Good luck for both of us and I hope we will meet at UK soon.

Backpack Bag

Looking for a suitable bag for my future 2 years journey is really important. I go for window shopping at Time Square Plaza after i did my online homework- what kind of bag is suitable for a backpacker, can be pulled and also carried on back.

Finally, i found some bags which suit to my requirements. These bags can contained around 10-15kg stuff, can be pulled and also can be carried at the back. The size is OK for me, because i don't think i really can carried more than 15 kg stuff on my back without fall down. Besides, i can also pull my bag on the street or somewhere clean. No need to keep on carry it.

The price for the bag is reasonable, is around RM180 to RM220. Depends on the style you want and which shop you go. Finally by RM200, i brought my bag. :)

Work to be done before leave

I am planning to go UK 2 months later. There are a lot of things to be done before i leave my lovely country to the fully strange country.

First thing i have done is to inform my good friend about my WHM and i am leaving soon. First question my friends asked me is, " you mum allow you to go so far?" or " you really want to leave everything you have now and go to foreign country and start all over again?" or " what is your plan when you come back, you leave the industry for 2 years and you have to start from zero again!" I received all kind of questions from all my friends. Some of them show their support and some of them feel amazing about the action i have taken.

Actually the purpose i am going to oversea is because i would like to experience a new life, different culture, see other countries. Everybody is looking for their extra knowledge and i think study is not the only way to learn more. My personal view is travel and see the outside world will be more useful and effective if you need to learn more. Learning is not only from book but experience. Valuable experience is something that you not able to get by studying.

After inform all my friends above this, then will be my personal job to be done before i leave; Try to get as much information for the country i am going soon and try to find a job before i go. WHM is a visa that allow applicant to work for 1 year and travel for 1 year. This is to help the applicant to earn their livings to let them travel around. Although i have sufficient money to live for 1 month or two before i get my job there. But i prefer to plan everything nicely before i land there. ( just wonder if i jobless there, then will be problem and my 2 years plan will become 2 months plan, then will be too sad). Therefore searching for a job or get know of kind of job that i could work on is a really important thing to be done before i leave.

Other works like decide what to be bring and not to bring, where to stay when i first land, where to go for first week if i want to travel around for a week before i start work and ......

Guys and gals, if you are really thinking to go for whm, think twice and really need to put effort before going, i have ready and know that the future 2 years will be tough for me, i have to depend on my own, no family here can help or support me since i am really far from my hometown, i have to solve all the problems i face in the future and get ready for what ever challenges i would face in the future too!

Thought to apply a WHM visa

I heard about WHM visa 1 year ago when gathering with my secondary school friend who just back from UK. He went there for his 3 +1 study and he met someone there who apply this visa for travel and visit.

My dream since i was young is to travel around the world ( haha and i still young even now). After reconsider and reconsider, finally i make decision to apply for this visa. I started collect information about the working holiday maker visa and Internet really help a lot in this.

I found that for Malaysian, you have 2 choices, which are UK and NZ. UK is a 2 years visa while NZ is just half year. Since i decided to quit my job here, therefore i am going for the 2 years visa.

I submitted all the necessary documents to VFS UK on last October and November the application for UK WHM visa had been closed for further application. So lucky am I !

After 4 months of waiting, finally i received my visa on Feb 09. I was so excited on the time i hold my passport with the UK WHM Visa approval sticker posted on. Thanks for all the help which have been given when i apply for this visa and finally my first step to travel around the world started.
